Reimagining a vertical city
Reimagining a vertical city

The Scotts Tower redefines how space can be viewed, experienced and appreciated through a revolutionary vertical city concept.
Launched under Far East SOHO, a brand that encompasses modern developments with strategic locations, excellent connectivity and flexible spaces, The Scotts Tower introduces a new dimension of functional and flexible vertical space.
Designed by critically acclaimed Dutch architect Ben van Berkel, the development was seen as a way to push the boundaries of how space could be maximised by thinking in a vertical paradigm.
Unlike cities, which are usually planned in a horizontal manner, Mr van Berkel designed The Scotts Tower like a vertical city, building different zones that represented different neighbourhoods skywards. This design concept resonated particularly well with land-scarce Singapore, and especially so for The Scotts Tower, which is located on valuable prime estate at the intersection of Scotts Road and Cairnhill Road.

Abodes in the Sky
The Scotts Tower is made up of residences of different types and scales. A vertical frame organises the units in an urban manner, while two sky frames further organise the amenity and green spaces which are located at the lobby (Levels 1 & 2) and the sky terrace (Level 25). The residences consist of 128 one-bedroom units, which are situated from the 3rd to the 18th floor. Above this houses the bulk of 80 two-bedroom units. 20 three-bedroom units occupy the 26th to the 30th floor, and on the 31st floor, there are the three exclusive Penthouses. Selected two- and three-bedroom units and the Penthouses enjoy their own private lift.
Outdoor green areas in the form of sky terraces, penthouse roof gardens and individual terraces are another important part of The Scotts Tower’s design. They are inspired by Singapore’s urban landscape, where beautiful patches of nature and greenery can be found interspersed throughout the city state.
Said Mr van Berkel: “The landscape is beautifully planned and celebrated in this city. When I am walking around a building or public space, I can see, or expect to come across, a new flower which I have not seen before. It is also good for the environment.”
Customisable Living Spaces
Each of the four residential clusters has been designed for versatile and customised living. Besides homebuyers being able to choose the type and scale of their preferred unit, and their preferred neighbourhood, they also have the freedom to design their living spaces according to their needs and preferences.
This flexible use of space is an integral part of the Far East SOHO brand, and represents modern homeowners who no longer draw a distinction between the home and work space. Instead, they value integrated spaces with digital infrastructures that connect businesses and individuals, anytime and anywhere.
The Scotts Tower appeals to the growing number of work-from-home entrepreneurs, tech-savvy consultants, designers, creative minds, independent singles and young couples. These urban sophisticates increasingly demand personalisation and the ability to express their individuality, yet seek to connect and bond with like-minded people.

Facilitating Greater Connectivity
Responding to the demand for interconnectivity, the vertical city concept extends to areas which have been designed to forge stronger bonds within the vertical neighbourhood of sophisticated and creative individuals.
At the ground level is an innovative multi-layered environment which connects various communal spaces and facilities. These include a 50m lap pool with sunning deck, a children’s pool, a wellness pool, dining and barbecue pavilions, a meeting pavilion and massage and gym pavilions.
More social spaces can be found at the sky garden (Level 25), which offers panoramic views of the city and is a perfect platform for outdoor events. Facilities at the sky garden include jacuzzi pools, a swimming pool and a dining deck.
In addition, residents of The Scotts Tower will also benefit from exclusive concierge services.
