As we approach the end of 2024, we take this opportunity to look back on a year of progress, meaningful change, and shared success at Far East Organization. From reaching major milestones to exploring new opportunities, we have embraced sustainable and inclusive growth, guided by our mission to make a meaningful impact and inspire better lives.
A Vision for Growth
This year, we focused on cultivating a Growth Mindset, Critical Thinking, and Discipline—principles that have guided us through challenges and unlocked opportunities. These priorities, grounded in our Christian values of Business with Grace, Unity, Integrity, Love, and Diligence, continue to define and guide our efforts in doing good business and doing good in business.

Awards and Recognition
Throughout 2024, our commitment to innovation and excellence was celebrated through a range of prestigious awards:

- Hospitality: Our hospitality portfolio received multiple awards, including Best Luxury Boutique Hotel for The Barracks Hotel, Best Business Hotel for The Clan Hotel, Best Romantic Getaway for Amoy Hotel and Best Serviced Apartment in Singapore for Adina Serviced Apartments at the Expat Living Readers’ Choice Awards 2024. Additionally, Village Hotel Sentosa won the People’s Choice Awards at the EdgeProp Excellence Awards 2024, reflecting its popularity and exceptional service.
- Retail: One Holland Village (OHV), our pet-friendly lifestyle hub was named New Mall of the Year at the Retail Asia Awards 2024 for its remarkable design and vibrant community approach.

- Design and Technology: The oneFarEast App received the SG Mark 2024 for its interactive and experiential design quality, while Far East Hospitality’s Central Reservation System Automation was also acknowledged for its innovative contributions to the industry at the SBR Technology Excellence Awards.
- Human Resources: Our GHR team’s efforts in creating a fulfilling workplace was recognised with multiple accolades, including those for employee well-being, volunteerism, and engagement (read more about our Far East Experience).
- Community and Social Impact: Agape Services, a social enterprise offering cleaning, moving, and minor renovation services, received the Enabling Mark (Silver Accreditation) for its inclusive employment opportunities, creating meaningful opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Major Project Milestones
We also marked 2024 with the completion and launch of significant projects that underscore our vision for vibrant, community-centric developments:
- Hillhaven: Launched in January 2024, Hillhaven is a green abode located in the charming enclave of Hillview. This development combines thoughtful design, serene living environments and urban connectivity.
- Golden Mile Singapore: Launched in December 2024, Golden Mile Singapore is a next-generation development that melds heritage and innovation. It comprises the conserved The Golden Mile and the new adjacent residential tower Aurea, which is set to be unveiled in Q1 2025.

- One Holland Village (OHV): Opened in phases throughout 2023 and 2024, OHV integrates residential, commercial and community spaces while capturing the charm and eclectic vibrancy of its neighbourhood. Its highlights include a pet-friendly, naturally ventilated mall, art installations, residential towers completed in July 2024, and the Quincy House serviced apartments, which welcomed guests in October 2024.
- Chancery Court: Preserving its original charm while incorporating modern amenities, Chancery Court blends privacy, accessibility and vibrant living. It has been welcoming tenants since July 2024.
International Expansion
Our international footprint also expanded in 2024:
- Australia: At St Helena Place in Melbourne, we released additional homes to the market in March 2024. A total of 56 homes out of 69 have been sold. The Organization also announced plans to redevelop the Clocktower Square at The Rocks in Sydney, where the new Quincy Hotel at The Rocks, Sydney will feature premium suites with views of the Opera House.
- Vietnam: Lumi, Hanoi, developed in collaboration with CapitaLand and Mitsubishi Estate, marked our first project in Vietnam. By October 2024, the high-end residential project achieved an impressive 99% sales out of 3,950 units. The development launched in April 2024.
- United Kingdom (UK): Our listed entity Far East Orchard expanded its portfolio by acquiring a 49% stake in Homes for Students Limited, a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) operator based in the United Kingdom. It also established its first private fund in Singapore, the FE UK Student Accommodation Development Fund, to invest in UK student housing development.

Culinary Ventures
The launch of Chef X at Clarke Quay Central mall provided aspiring chefs with hands-on restaurant management experience, building on the success of the Baker X programme for home-based bakers.
Additionally, Commonwealth Concepts, our F&B joint venture with Commonwealth Capital, expanded its portfolio with two new restaurants, Ginkyo and Fireplace, at OHV, further enhancing the culinary landscape.


[Left] Chef X is an immersive programme at Clarke Quay Central that provides aspiring chefs with four or eight weeks of hands-on experience in managing a commercial restaurant setting. [Right] Located at Orchard Central, Baker X hosts home-based bakers in a unique two-to-six-week residency, providing them with the opportunity to sell their bakes in a physical café and engage with customers in a professional environment.
Inspiring Achievements Beyond Business
Maximilian Maeder, sponsored by our listed entity Yeo's, was honoured as the inaugural Young World Sailor of the Year at the 2024 World Sailing Awards. He also brought home a bronze medal for Singapore for kitefoiling at the 2024 Olympics.

Yeo’s, which began its partnership with kitefoiler Maeder in 2022 to support his journey towards the 2024 Paris Olympics, extended their sponsorship for another four years from 2025 to 2028.
